Shyam Benegal
Padma Bhushan Shyam Benegal is a prolific Indian director and screenwriter. With his first four feature films ANKUR NISHANT MANTHAN and BHUMIKA he created a new genre, which has now come to be called the "middle cinema" in India. He has expressed dislike of the term, preferring his work to be called New or Alternate cinema. Benegal was awarded the highest award in Indian cinema for lifetime achievement, the Dadasaheb phalke Award for the year 2005. He has won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi seven times. President APJ Abdul Kalam nominated Mr. Benegal as a member of the RajyaSabha.
Ravi Jhankal, creative director of Kinkini is a favorite actor and working with him as an actor since 1984.
Bhanu Bharti
One of the most eminent people in the theatre world of India today, After graduating from the National School of Drama, New Delhi, in 1973, he studied traditional Japanese theatre in the University of Tokyo.
He has over fifty productions to his credit. He has also directed a film on Gavari, the dance theatre of the Bhil. Bhanu Bharti has been honored with many prestigious National Awards for his contribution to the field of theatre including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in the year 1997 given by the Sangeet Natak Akademi India's National Academy for Music, Dance and Drama and Rajasthan Sahitya Akademi Award.
